We share moments from an educational session held yesterday. As part of the international initiative “Refugee Week,” Stasys Museum hosted an activity for visitors from the Panevėžys children’s day center, aimed at fostering cultural dialogue and a sense of community.
During the session “The Conscious Gaze” children were invited to experience the work of Linas Leonas Katinas through mindfulness-based practices. Through engaging sensory exercises, they explored artworks while cultivating attention, imagination, and a personal connection with art. By combining individual and collective experiences, the aim was to create a safe and open environment encouraging participants to slow down and step away from everyday routines.
The event is part of the “Refugee Week Lithuania 2026” program. The official coordinator of “Refugee Week Lithuania” in Lithuania is the arts agency Artscape. All events of the week can be found at https://refugeeweek.lt/
