This summer, the international exhibition And the Wind Will Take Us Away, held at the museum, received exceptional attention both in Lithuania and abroad.
Using a visually and sonically immersive map, the exhibition explored themes of war, migration, climate change, ecology, and trauma—bridging contemporary art with scientific perspectives. It showcased works in various media—from installations, video art, and photography to painting, textiles, and performance. Participating artists came from Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, and Norway, with a special focus on Ukrainian creators’ reflections on the current situation.
Results we are proud of:
The exhibition was visited in person by nearly 20,000 people.
Among them – as many as 1,000 international guests.
10 private and 19 public guided tours were held.
On social media, posts about the exhibition (May–August) reached over 1.2 million views.
We sincerely thank all visitors, partners, and artists who contributed to the realization of the international exhibition And the Wind Will Take Us Away.
