Meditation as Conscious Sleep, Sleep as Unconscious Meditation

Practical Session with Daumantas Lukošiūnas

August 2, 4 pm

Registration coming soon

During this sound journey and meditation, instruments from various eras and cultures are performed live: gongs, crystal bowls, didgeridoos, shamanic drums, and other frequency-based instruments that help balance the body’s energy centres. Participants lie on their backs, comfortably and warmly covered, with their eyes closed. Guided by sound, we enter an inner landscape where subconscious images and suppressed emotions may arise – to be fully experienced and thus released – or simply to allow the body to relax and settle into pleasant sensation. Meditation can help navigate the challenges of daily life, strengthen emotional awareness and mindfulness, and support overall well-being.

Daumantas Lukošiūnas is a sound engineer, multi-instrumentalist, and sound meditation guide. His work revolves around vibration, rhythm, and sound in all its forms. As a drummer and sound artist, he explores how different frequencies affect the body and inner states. In his sessions, he performs live using gongs, crystal bowls, the didgeridoo, and other instruments, creating a space for deep relaxation and inner exploration. His practice unfolds as an organically evolving soundscape, where technology and intuition merge into a continuous, flowing experience.

Practical session is part of the public program accompanying the exhibition Another Turn of the Sleepers.

Please note that filming and photography may take place during the event.
