Panevėžys is steadily establishing itself among the centers of innovative architecture and culture, as two of the city’s outstanding landmarks have gained international recognition. One of the world’s most influential architecture websites, ArchDaily, has included the Stasys Museum arts center in the list of nominees for the prestigious “Building of the Year” awards. This competition attracts over 4,000 of the best architectural projects worldwide each year, and a nomination alone is considered a significant achievement.
Opened at the end of May, the Stasys Museum arts center has become a major architectural and artistic event, immediately capturing the attention of the international community. This unique building, designed by the IMPLMNT architects team, has been nominated in two categories – Cultural Architecture and Best Applied Products.
Now in its 16th edition, the “Building of the Year” competition is one of the most important architectural awards globally. Every year, more than 4,000 projects participate, and being nominated itself is a testament to a building’s architectural value, innovation, and the creative mastery of its authors. The nomination of these Panevėžys landmarks further affirms the city’s transformation into a hub of bold and contemporary architecture, where world-class projects are being developed.
The first round of voting runs until February 12, and the winners in each category will be announced on February 20 on the ArchDaily website. We invite everyone to support Panevėžys and vote for our city’s projects – every vote helps to promote the city’s name on the global stage!
