An exclusive musical performance was filmed in the installation space “Breath”, located in the cube of Panevėžys’ Stasys Museum. The performance is presented by DJ, sound stylist, and founder of the sonic image boutique OSB013, Simona Burbaitė.

This DJ set performance is a dialogue between sound, visuals, and space, revealing how music can extend and transform the artistic experience.“Panevėžys is my hometown, so this collaboration is very special to me. It’s wonderful that a museum of such caliber has opened here – its architecture, spaces, and attention to detail are simply inspiring. The moment I stepped into the cube next to the museum, I immediately felt the urge to sonify it. That’s how it is – when my creative radar picks up potential to create something beautiful, it can’t be stopped. In fact, I even visualized myself playing there. That same day, I contacted the Stasys Museum team, pitched my idea, and today we have the result – something I call a dessert not only for the ears but also for the eyes,” says Simona Burbaitė.

Stasys Museum is a contemporary art museum opened in 2024 in Panevėžys. It is named in honor of one of Lithuania’s most renowned contemporary artists, Stasys Eidrigevičius, and is dedicated to his works and those of other internationally recognized artists.

According to Simona, the project was born from a desire to decorate the Stasys Museum space with sound – a type of project she regularly implements through her sonic image boutique OSB013.

“In both creativity and life, the most important thing is to act on intuition and follow where curiosity leads. And when along the way you meet like-minded people who share your values and aesthetic sense – it becomes even more interesting. This project is exactly about that. Stasys Museum became my creative partner from the very first second, as did the artists and producers whose tracks I played during the filming. I’m very happy that we managed to capture our collaboration in video format, and most importantly – that others can see and hear it too,” shares Simona.

The video production was handled by Marta Ruly, and the technical sound implementation was ensured by GS EventBox.

The timing of the project’s release is no coincidence. The Stasys Museum team aims to show that contemporary art can be open to various forms of creativity – and sound art is one way to experience a space in a different way.
