We invite you to the presentation of the book Ingrida Korsakaitė. What Interests Me Most Is Graphics!

The presentation will take place on October 31, 2025 (Friday), at 5:00 p.m. at the Vilnius Graphic Art Centre, Latako St. 3.

Ingrida Korsakaitė (1938–2024) was a classic of modern Lithuanian art history and criticism, one of the country’s first professional art researchers. This book is a gesture of respect and appreciation from her colleagues. It consists of three parts. The photo album tells the fascinating and rich story of Korsakaitė’s life through images. The Liber amicorum (Book of Friends) presents reminiscences shared by her contemporaries — painter, graphic artist, and performer Stasys Eidrigevičius; sculptor Ksenija Jaroševaitė, author of The Cat monument commemorating Korsakaitė’s elder daughter Jurga Ivanauskaitė and created at Ingrida’s initiative in Vilnius’s Naujamiestis district; art historian and former colleague Viktoras Liutkus; children’s literature researcher Kęstutis Urba; and graphic artist and book illustrator Ramunė Vėliuvienė.

The third part includes articles on the subjects explored in Korsakaitė’s research. The contributors were selected with regard to Ingrida’s main professional interests, which encompassed the history and current issues of Lithuanian graphic art, the art of World War II refugees, and children’s book illustration.

The book was compiled by Korsakaitė’s colleagues Prof. Dr. (hp) Giedrė Jankevičiūtė and Dr. (hp) Laima Laučkaitė-Surgailienė, and published by the Lithuanian Art Historians’ Association and the Lithuanian Culture Research Institute.

The presentation will feature the book’s editors Giedrė Jankevičiūtė and Laima Laučkaitė, and will be moderated by Laima Kreivytė.
