More Support for Children, Parents, and Teachers in Panevėžys

The project’s goal is to improve access to education, social, and healthcare services for students with special educational needs (SEN), their families, and teachers. It aims to ensure comprehensive support by involving non-formal education providers and non-governmental organizations.

The project is focused on at least 120 SEN students from Panevėžys Mykolas Karka Primary School, Vytautas Žemkalnis Gymnasium, and Beržai Progymnasium.

The project’s activities will include:

  • Salaries for mobile team specialists;
  • Salaries for partner organization specialists;
  • Procurement of psychotherapy services;
  • A 24-hour training program titled “Children with Behavioral, Emotional, and Attention Difficulties in the Classroom”, designed for teachers and parents;
  • Equipment to support specialist assistance.

Children participating in the project will receive various services from specialists, including psychologists, psychotherapists, movement correction specialists, and public health professionals, as well as participate in various educational activities.

Project partners:

Panevėžys Beržai Progymnasium, Panevėžys Students’ House, Stasys Eidrigevičius Arts Center, NGO “Puma” (Animal Welfare Organization), Panevėžys Vytautas Žemkalnis Gymnasium, Panevėžys Mykolas Karka Primary School.

Project budget: €953,719.30 in EU funding (of which €810,661.41 comes from the “European Social Fund +” and €143,057.89 from co-financing funds).

The project is funded under the 2021–2030 Development Program managed by the Lithuanian Ministry of Education, Science, and Sports, as part of the Education Development Program under Progress Measure No. 12-003-03-02-01 – “Implementation of Inclusive Education”.
