Creative Public Space Workshops Hosted by Stasys Museum in Panevėžys Region
This fall, Stasys Museum collaborated with the Architecture Fund and the Panevėžys-based association “Papasakok plačiau” to organize creative workshops for students in the Panevėžys region. Held at Smilgiai and Krekenava Mykolas Antanaitis Gymnasiums, the workshops encouraged students to evaluate public spaces in their communities and propose innovative ideas to make them more inviting and functional, with guidance from architects Karolina Galvydytė and Gabrielė Šimkutė.
The project concluded last week with a final event in Stasys Museum’s educational space. During the event, participants toured the museum’s current exhibition, presented their proposed public space designs, and engaged in discussions with the architects. Landscape architect Povilas Marozas shared his expertise on blending art and architecture in public spaces and showcased some of his projects.
The project was funded by the Lithuanian Council for Culture.
