“What do you see in this painting? A man wearing a house?! What details in this artwork make you say that?”
These are the kinds of conversations we have with visitors during these workshops, using a method developed by psychologist Abigail Housen and educator Philip Yenawine. The goal of this session is to explore artworks, and in doing so, also to discover ourselves in a new way—through visual thinking. This method, employed by the world’s largest museums, is based on the principle of dialogue between the facilitator and participants.
After the session, participants will not only be able to describe Stasys Eidrigevičius’ works exhibited at the “Stasys Museum” in detail but also share their own interpretations. The benefits of the visual thinking method extend beyond visual literacy and cultural awareness; participants also develop communication skills such as public speaking, attentiveness, and active listening.

If needed, the workshop can be adapted for groups of different ages and sizes, and it can be offered in English. To book the children’s workshop based on your needs, please contact us by email: education@stasysmuseum.com
