The exhibition “And the Wind Will Take Us Away” will be opened by the performance “Navigation” from the series “Bad Weather” – a project directed by artist Arturas Bumšteinas, in which baroque noise machines will come to life through the “scores” of meteorological maps. This work is a dynamic meditation on nature, the human relationship with the climate and the aesthetics of old technologies.
The performance, produced by “Operomanija”, will feature Gailė Griciūtė, Gitis Bertulis-Čerkelis, Gediminas Steponavičius, Elmyra Ragimova and Ieva Rižė.
The performance will be part of the opening event that will take place this Saturday, 10 May, starting 4:00 p.m. Entry to the museum and performance is free for museum visitors, the opening event will be translated into sign language and the museum will be open until 9:00 p.m. on that day.
